Northern Marrakech Hot Air Balloon Ride
Activity Details
We’ll pick you up at your hotel in Marrakech and hop into the off-roading vehicle to head to our destination: Jebilet. During the roughly one-hour drive, you can relax and take in the desert scenery as we pass through it. What a great way to start the day!
Once we arrive in Jebilet, the first thing we’ll do is enjoy a light breakfast. Coffee, tea, and juice will be the perfect way to fuel up before we start inflating the balloon.
When our balloon is ready for takeoff, we’ll climb aboard and begin our ascent into the Moroccan sky. During our roughly 1-hour balloon ride, we’ll see the city of Marrakech pass beneath us and catch a bird’s-eye view of the Atlas Mountains.
After this hot-air balloon ride, we’ll return to the ground, where we’ll be presented with a flight certificate while we discuss the experience over a cup of Moroccan tea. A truly complete experience!
Next, we’ll continue on our way to a traditional Berber tent, where we’ll enjoy a typical appetizer featuring a variety of fresh local products.
Finally, we’ll return to Marrakech in an off-roading vehicle, where the excursion will come to an end.
Activity Options
When booking, you can choose the type of balloon ride you want, depending on the time of day. Below are the schedules for each type according to the season:
- First flight of the day:
- From November 1 to February 28, the ride starts at 6:30 am
- From March 1 to May 31, it begins at 6 am
- From June 1 to August 31, it begins at 5 am
- From September 1 to October 31, it begins at 6 am
- Second flight of the day: It takes place at 7 am all year round. Keep in mind that this option is more affordable because you won't actually see the moment the sun rises.

Please note that, for organisational reasons, the tea and breakfast can happen either before or after the flight, to make sure we make the most of the perfect time to ascend.
